We knew this was going to be a hard game even without Scott Surridge, Ash Wilde & Dan Brazil, all of have gone to the Worcester Men's Team.
The first section proved us right, as Worcestershire fought hard to keep in touch. But with a couple of key frames going our way we edge it 6-5.
The second section went much the same as the first section with both sides taking it in turns to win a frame. But again we took it 6-5, Making the half way score 12-10.
The third section we stepped up a gear and won it 7-4, making it 19-14.We won the first 3 in the fourth section, needing only one more to win, easy you would think with 8 more frames to play.

Guess what we lost the next four, but Cool Hand Luke had other ideas and got the winning frame in style. We then got 2 out of the last 3, giving us a close score of 25-19.

4/4 - Luke Cowap & Nick Bailie
3/4 - Jamie Hobby, Vivek Makh, Richard Johnson & Luke Mills.

'B' Team

Our third game of the season saw us entertain last years Runners Up Worcester.

In the first section both sides swapped frames until Worcester finally edged it 6 - 5. Wins from T. Woolman, J. Griffiths, G. Painter, D Earles and R. Mandara keeping us in touch.

The second section started badly as we lost the fist 5 frames. But another win from G. Painter and wins from S. Emms & J. Willis helped us keep in touch...  Half - Time score 14 - 8 to Worcester...

The third section was another tight affair with neither team managing to get the upper hand but again Worcester just edged it 6 - 5. Wins from newcomers L. Low & D. Mills the highlight of this section. We were now 20 - 13 down going into the last section..

Again I was so impressed with the lads attitude, they played so so well showing real tenacity to take 5 out of the first 6 frames before they finally ran out of steam to go down 26 - 18...

All in all another tremendous fighting display from the lads, only just losing out to last years Runners Up.

Man Of The Match:-- Tom Woolman 2 out of 4
