List of paid up players for 2008/09 season

19th September 08

Ok.... All matches will now be played at Rileys.... If you still wish to enter please contact Al Jones or Ian Fowler... We will be at Rileys this Sunday from 7pm if you wish to come down and pay your entry fee and register... feel free to do so... We will be taking names until 10 pm.. The entry fee will be the same as last season... £35 to enter... £10 returned on the completion of your fixtures in full. Please note due to a small number of players that still owe for this season.. we have slightly amended the rules...You now have to pay before you play... On the Subject of the players that still owe could you please arrange with Al Jones or Ian Fowler a suitable times to pay ASAP... Many thanks... Happy Potting.... J

I've had a good response so far from players re moving all games up to Rileys. In my opinion it has its good points but it has more bad points... But hey that's just my opinion...J... So far it about 70% in Rileys favour... 30% against.... The other thing that concerns me is will the players that don't want to play from Rileys still enter?

Last season's final tables are now finally on line.... To be perfectly frank the reason its took so long to put them on line is because of the amount of players that have mucked us about dropping out or that had stopped playing because their arms had fell off or something... or they just couldn't be arsed to play and were just giving there games away..... Not very sporting!!!!!!!.... Some leagues have been redone that many times I felt that I was doing the Oaky fuckin Coaky... You're in... You're Out... shake it all a about..... Only Division 4 and the Conference leagues can hold there heads up for achieving what you're suppose to and play the games......

We are starting to take names for the next season now... If you wish to enter please email using the link on the site or phone / Text Al Jones, Chucky, or Dave Burnett....

The season has again finished with players having outstanding matches. This is due to players again flaunting the Rules about playing their matches in the set month. Plus our reluctance to enforce the rules as we want to run a friendly league.

So we the Committee have therefore come to a decision about next season... All matches will be played at Rileys Snooker & Pool Hall in the Nuneaton Town Centre. The sole reason for doing this is so we can enforce the rules easier... Plus Rileys have offered to sponsor the league. We would greatly appreciate feedback on this because if the majority of players are against the Idea then we will have to have a rethink....

Players are reminded that the League season finishes tomorrow night.... The Individual Knock Out will be finished as soon as possible...

For players information you have until August 14th to finish your remaining games... If players still haven't finished or are having trouble arranging their games let me know... We'll arrange it for you.....

For players information the table will not be updated until the end of the season... To those players who have asked where they are in the table and where so and so is.. I'm sorry.. But then again all you have to do is WIN as many matches as you can.....

Well done to Steve Tedds, Nigel Griffiths, Mark Chapman and Keith Garner for getting through to the Cup Semi Finals... These will take place as soon as all four players are available.....

All the tables have been updated....The Result pages haven't............................. Martin Ashby & Ash James have been withdrew from Division 3 and Gordon Bannerman from Division 2....

All the tables have been updated..... It looks like it's between Steve Tedds and defending champion Ben Swinnerton for the Elite Title... Both have now lost 4 matches with Tedds having the edge in the points tally, Ben needs Steve to lose another match for him to regain his title.... All Steve has to do is win his remaining 3 matches to be crowned Elite Champion... But both have difficult run ins though... With Lee Steptoe being the main danger... he still has an outside chance and if he beats both he could still figure.. As could Mick Richardson if Steppy beats both Steve and Ben... Bleedin ell so to reiterate looks like a four horse race for the elite title... Nigel Griffiths leads the Premier League from Andy Yearby... His main danger is Keith Garner whom he plays later this week.. Scott Varden could also push these two if he can arrange a few matches... Jamie Hobby took a giant step towards the Division One title when beating his closest rival Ross Kruppa 4 -3... He still has a couple of tricky games left but should pot his way to victory... Roger Smee leads affairs in Division 2 by 10 points but it hard to tell who'll go on to win this division as I don't even know whose actually still playing and who isn't... It's much the same in Division 3... Big Geoff Southall is top with bigger Carl Smith second but whose in? whose not? that's the question... Meanwhile in Division Four in a different story... Mick Golby leads the way with only his July games to play Marc Ellis Cooper is in second but has played all his games (hopefully some division 2 & 3 players have read this)... So the chasing pack lead by Jamie Low could go passed him.. he will probably just finish outside the promotion places...But hey we may give him extra points for sorting his matches out..lol.. A special mention goes to Robert 'Bobo' Orton for breaking the singles league record of the most 4 - 0 defeats.. Nice one Bobo!! In the Conference Simon Charnock is in pole but both Paul Bailey and Nigel Farley could go passed him if they win their matches in hand...
